It has over time been a problem that approved ISO containers in accordance with ISO 1496-1, and that are being re-built in reality no longer are approved for transport according its original specifications and its tests. This is specially in the area for "Racking", where larger or smaller pieces from the walls and/or the doors inclusive locking rods are re-built or removed. This has created great uncertainty in the market if the container actually is strong enough to be transported safely in accordance with the original requirements.
NK Instruments has come up with a solution with this.
We have manufactured a test-rig to be able to document the technical demands posed by our customers.
The Test Rig is hydraulic operated and could take 10', 20', 30', 40' and 45' containers and with height 8', 8'6 " and 9'6" in which both Side walls End walls are tested in accordance with the ISO 1496-1. The Testing Facility offers the following :
